Nothing kicks off summer like hot dogs, lemonade and fireworks. The 4th of July Loggerodeo in Sedro-Woolley is the longest running Independence Day celebration in America, and is definitely worth checking out! Everything starts with the carnival opening on June 28 at 5:00 p.m. Then, get ready for seven days of fun! Here are the schedule highlights:

  • June 29 – Eagles Car Show, Firefighter Combat Challenge, carnival, arts and crafts.
  • June 30 – Home & Biz Decorating Judging, Beard Contest, Street Dance, carnival, arts and crafts.
  • July 1 – Chainsaw Carving, carnival, arts and crafts.
  • July 2 – Chainsaw Carving, Kiddie Parade, carnival, arts and crafts.
  • July 3 – Chainsaw Carving Auction, Rodeo, carnival, arts and crafts.
  • July 4 – Pro-west slack Event, Chainsaw Carving, Foot Race, Eagles Barbecue, Grand Parade, carnival, arts and crafts, Rodeo, Logging Exhibition, Fireworks.

The two-hour 4th of July parade kicks things off at 11:00 a.m. on the July 4. Find a spot along Metcalf Street or Ferry Street for this huge parade with 130-140 entries! Fireworks will be around 10:00 p.m. For more information, including a detailed scheduled, visit the Loggerodeo website.

The Big Lake Fireworks show has been a Skagit County Fourth of July tradition since 1963, when it was started by volunteer firefighter Lyle Robbins. The show is free and is put on by a non-profit, fully funded through donations made by the community throughout the year. Fireworks will begin at dusk, weather permitting. The 2019 4th of July in Anacortes is kicking off with a town portrait at 10:00 a.m. at 5th Street and Commercial Avenue  – you can’t get more hometown American than that! The portrait is followed by the Patriotic Extravaganza, with a fly over that will signify the start of the parade. The parade goes down Commercial Avenue from 3rd Street to 10th Street, and on 3rd Street from O Avenue to Commercial Avenue. Then, at 5:00 p.m., the whole family can have some good old fashioned fourth of July fun with the Rock the Dock community event. There will be music, games and fireworks at Seafarers’ Memorial Park. 4th of July in Concrete

4th of July in Concrete kicks off with the Poker Walk at 9:30 a.m. at the Concrete Theatre (45920 Main Street). It’s free to join in and you have 75 minutes to complete your hand. There are five locations you will need to stop at to get a card. Return to the starting point by 10:45 a.m. – best hand receives a prize. Free to join, but get your ticket in advanced.

The parade lines up at 10:00 a.m. near the Thompson Bridge. Starts at 11:00 a.m. and travels east to west on Main Street. You can join at the Town Center and follow the parade to the Veterans Memorial Park for lunch. Entry in the parade is free and kids can win a prize! To enter, use this entry form.

After the parade, enjoy a town-wide picnic in the park. Enjoy barbecue prepared at the park (by donation), or bring your own lunch. You won’t want to miss an Old Fashioned 4th of July in La Conner! There will be everything from a parade and three-legged races to watermelon eating contest and of course fireworks! Everything kicks off with the parade at 12:00 p.m., followed by the community event and children’s events in Pioneer Park. The evening concert at the Port of Skagit Marina is from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. Beer/wine garden and food vendors open at 5:00 pm. Fabulous 4th of July in Mount Vernon

Spend 4th of July in Mount Vernon with local bands, food and fireworks. You can bring your own barbecue or try one of the delicious vendors at Edgewater Park Local bands will entertain with live music from 7:00 p.m., with the headliner at 9:00 p.m. Dance, eat and have fun!
