Mount Vernon Drive-in Movie Nights Start May 7

The Mount Vernon Chamber of Commerce and the City of Mount Vernon are hosting a series of free drive-in movies at Skagit Valley College starting on Friday, May 7, with a showing of the Disney Pixar classic, “Cars.”

Movies will take place on the first Friday of the month, May through September. Movies are free of charge, but tickets must be reserved online at www.MountVernonChamber.com. The drive-in location has capacity for 90 vehicles.

The May 7 film starts at 9 p.m. Movie times for each date vary, based on when it gets dark. (See complete list of movies and start times below.) Entrance to the drive-in will open 90 minutes prior to showtime.

Moviegoers can pre-order concessions from the Lincoln Theatre, and orders can be picked up at the theater prior to the movie. Orders can be placed online at www.lincolntheatre.org.

A number of local businesses are sponsoring the movies, including: City of Mount Vernon, Skagit Valley College, Caliber Home Loans, Craft Stove, Ductvac Northwest, Dwayne Lane’s, Guardian Northwest, Helping Hands Solution Center, Skagit Valley Family YMCA, United Way of Skagit County and Windermere Real Estate/Skagit Valley.
