See Mariachi Herencia De Mexico
If you and your significant other like music, have an early Valentine’s date night at McIntyre Hall Performing Arts & Conference Center. The one-night only performance of Mariachi Herencia De Mexico is happening on Sunday, February 6 at 3 p.m. The ensemble is a group of students from Chicago’s immigrant barios, that had a hit on their debut album of traditional Mexican music, which received a 2017 Latin GRAMMY nomination.
Enjoy Fine Dining
Max Dale’s Steak & Chop House is a great place to go if you are looking for an elegant date night with superb food. From the chili-lime prawns to the Chuckanut bay cheesecake, it’s a wonderful way to indulge for the evening. Reservations strongly recommended and can be done online.
Take a Walk
Spending Valentine’s Day with your favorite person doesn’t mean you have to spend a lot. Heading out into nature for a fun walk can be a wonderful date! Bring a picnic or some to-go food from your favorite restaurant and you’re ready for a great date night. The Padilla Bay Shore Trail is a good choice if you are looking for views of waterways and the Salish Sea. Another idea is Washington Park in Anacortes. It’s a wonderful place with incredible views no matter the weather.
Have a Staycation
Sometimes it’s nice to get away on a quick trip and what better time for a little staycation than Valentine’s Day weekend? The Heron Inn & Day Spa in La Conner is a great choice if you want to relax and renew on your mini-vacation. They have spa packages that include massages, facials, scrubs and more. Go to a Valentine’s Day Dance
If you are looking for a dance, you don’t have to go too far outside our county to find one. The Camano Center is putting on their annual Valentine’s Day Dance on Saturday, February 12 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The dance will be held in the Sundin Room and features Camano Junction. Prices is $10 for adults and $8 for students at the door, cash or checks only.
