PeaceHealth Medical Group is pleased to welcome Nolan Ryan, PA-C, to the Sedro-Woolley Walk-In Clinic team.
A physician assistant, Ryan earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, in 2014, and then a Master of Clinical Health Services from MEDEX Northwest Physician Assistant Program through the University of Washington School of Medicine in 2021.
He served a clinical rotation in PeaceHealth’s Same-Day Care Clinic in Bellingham. He also had specialty clerkships in neurosurgery at Boston Children’s Hospital, cardiothoracic surgery at UWMC Seattle, wilderness medicine at Yellowstone National Park and at the Regional Burn Center at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
After working as a quality engineer for life sciences and medical device corporations, Ryan became an emergency medicine technician, serving as a first responder in King, Snohomish and Pierce Counties.
“I have always had a strong interest in the technology and science of medicine as well as a great interest in helping those around me,” Ryan said. “While I initially worked as a biomedical engineer, my desire to work with people daily brought about a career change to work in clinical medicine.”
In his free time, Ryan enjoys trail running, backpacking, mountaineering and skiing.
The Walk-In Clinic may be reached at 360-856-8830.
