Peacehealth Tightening Visitation Policy as Skagit County’s COVID-19 Transmission Rates Increase

Submitted by PeaceHealth

Unfortunately, Skagit County is again seeing rising rates of COVID-19 infection in the community—significant enough to shift the county’s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention transmission rate for hospitals from “moderate” back into “high.” As a consequence, PeaceHealth United General Medical Center has tightened its patient visitation policy.

As of last week, only one visitor OR support person per 24 hours is allowed in the hospital. Visitors are still required to wear a Level 3 (blue) mask in all PeaceHealth facilities or they may choose to wear their own KN95 or N95 if they enter the building with one.

We know how important it is for patients to see their loved ones while hospitalized, and we hope we’ll soon be able to again relax restrictions. We appreciate the public’s patience and understanding.
