It’s time for the annual trip to the pumpkin patch. Or, if you’re like me, annual trips, cause I really can’t go to just one! There is nothing like a farm on a fall day. The smell of cider and roasted corn, the bright pumpkins waiting to be chosen and all the fun activities! Here are the details for the 2023 pumpkin patches in Skagit County.

Tips for visiting local pumpkin patches:

  • Go early in the morning to avoid the crowds.
  • Wear comfortable walking shoes.
  • Be ready for the weather: that could mean sunscreen, or an umbrella and a raincoat!
  • Bring cash. Though some accept cards, it’s good to be prepared.
  • Be prepared to walk.
  • Go early in the season for the best selection!

Schuh Farms

Local cider, fresh pies, apples, corn, winter squash and of course pumpkins all await you at Schuh Farms! They have both you-pick and we-pick pumpkins, depending on your preference. Then, it’s time for you to have some fun with activities like hayrides, tractor train rides, a 3-acre corn maze, bouncy house, and more. Once again, Gordon Skagit Farms is ready for fall with an assortment of fun pumpkin at their pumpkin patch in Mount Vernon. This you-pick patch has all types from carving pumpkins to pie pumpkins. Food vendors will be around on the weekends. Stay and enjoy the corn maze, take photos and check out the other fall produce and decorations. They have farm honey too!
