Grab a hot chocolate, pack the car, and head out for a cozy drive through some of Skagit’s best neighborhoods, or take in a winter festival that is sure to spark the holiday spirit in everyone. Winter Wonderland Walk at Washington Park

The Winter Wonderland Walk at Washington Park transforms the area into a dazzling light show every holiday season.  Stroll through an array of vibrant lights, luminaries, and enchanting decorations, creating a magical atmosphere that captivates all who attend. Countless sparkling displays illuminate pathways, trees, and structures, before guiding you toward the center of a whimsical realm filled with lights, laughter, music, and s’mores, fostering a rather contagious feeling of holiday delight.

But don’t forget to bundle up and bring a flashlight or headlamp. This popular annual event is sponsored by the Anacortes Park and Recreation.

Anacortes Lighted Boat Parade

December 16, 2023: 6 p.m.

The Lighted Boat Parade in Anacortes illuminates the waters off of Cap Sante Marina with a captivating display of festive lights. Join boaters as they adorn their vessels with a myriad of twinkling lights and creative decorations, transforming their vessels into floating works art. An annual favorite in Anacortes as families and friends gather along the docks by Seafarer’s Park. Bundle up against the winter chill, to witness this charming maritime parade. An acre of lights decks out this sleepy little street with lights and sounds of the season when tuned into FM channel 95.5. Head down D Avenue and Rosario Road to enjoy the full extent of these neighborhood lights.

Holiday Lighted Boat Parade

This small-town favorite in La Conner casts a spellbinding glow upon the Swinomish Channel, turning these otherwise serene waters into a canvas of shimmering lights and festive cheer. Meet at Gilkey Square or line up along the boardwalk to watch the parade of lights. Contact the  City of La Conner for further details.

Mount Vernon

Meander on any side of the traffic circle off of Division to discover streets on the hill drenched in lights. Be sure to check out Waugh Rd for more displays.

Then head west towards the Country Club neighborhoods off of Pederson Road and wind your way along lanes of lights.
