WECU announced the opening of a new financial center located at 1102 State Route 20 in Sedro-Woolley, Washington. The financial center will open to the public on Monday, December 11. Earlier this year, WECU opened a financial center in Mount Vernon, the credit union’s first expansion outside Whatcom County in its more than 85-year history.
“This strategic decision reflects our commitment to serving our membership,” said Jennifer Kutcher, President & CEO of WECU. “With over 7,600 WECU members living in Skagit County, we are excited to enhance their banking experience and look forward to welcoming new members from the area to WECU. Together, we will continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of our members and strengthen the communities we serve.”
WECU is already an active community partner in Sedro-Woolley. In 2023, the credit union sponsored various events, including the Sedro-Woolley Summer Concert Series at Riverfront Park, Sedro-Woolley Loggerodeo, Blast from the Past, Skagit County Fair, Sedro-Woolley Chamber Haunted Glow Run, and more.
“WECU offers contemporary banking products with friendly and respectful service but is also known in Whatcom County for our strong community involvement,” said David Jones, WECU’s Chief Marketing Officer. “Having a financial center in your community makes us neighbors. As neighbors, we show up, support, and serve, and we are committed to doing the same in Skagit County.”
