It’s no secret that Skagit County is rich in agriculture, but did you know we also have deep roots in craft beer and ciders? Celebrate the fall season – just in time for Oktoberfest! – with the Skagit Farm to Pint Fest happening on September 28, 2024, at the La Conner Marina. Not only will you get to sample Skagit breweries, but you will be supporting the farmers with each ticket, as proceeds go to Genuine Skagit Valley’s marketing efforts on behalf of local farmers.

“Genuine Skagit Valley is a place-based marketing program committed to increasing the visibility of our farming community, crops and foods,” shares Genuine Skagit Marketing Manager Valley Blake Van Roekel. “We do so by heightening consumer connection to authentically Skagit-grown and made agricultural products. Funds from the Skagit Farm to Pint Fest will allow us to continue to grow our outreach, share more stories, and ultimately support the viability of farming in the Skagit Valley.”

You can think of them like a Chamber of Commerce tailored to farmers and food producers in our area. They help boost the farmers’ visibility through marketing, events – like Farm to Pint Fest – and community building. They can also use the Genuine Skagit Valley registration mark on their packaging and platforms, Van Roekel explains.

Skagit Farm to Pint Fest Celebrates Local Farmers and Crafters

Even if you have never thought about the many local breweries and cideries, it shouldn’t be too much of a shock – good beer and hard cider start with incredible ingredients grown right here in Skagit’s fertile soil. The Skagit Farm to Pint Fest celebrates those roots.

“Our annual festival celebrates the region’s rich agricultural heritage and its craft beer scene,” says Van Roekel. “Skagit Valley is known for its fertile soil, which lends itself perfectly to the diverse range of crops, including barley and other ingredients used in brewing beer, cider and crafting farm-to-table plates.”

There are so many talented farmers, chefs and brewers in Skagit County! The Skagit Farm to Pint Fest is a great place to learn about (and sample!) farms and local-area chefs you may not have discovered yet. Here are just some of them that will be at the Skagit Farm to Pint Fest:
