PeaceHealth Neurology at Cascade Brain and Spine Center, Sedro-Woolley Clinic Welcomes New Physicians

Neurologists Samantha Plum, MD, and Kyle Sharf, DO, have joined the PeaceHealth Neurology team at Cascade Brain and Spine Institute in Bellingham, with Dr. Sharf also working at PeaceHealth’s Sedro-Woolley Specialty Clinic.

Dr. Plum completed her medical degree at Saint James School of Medicine in Park Ridge, Illinois, and St. Vincent, and her residency and internship at Prisma Health in the Upstate in Greenville, South Carolina. She also holds a master’s in healthcare administration and a bachelor’s degree in biology. She has led clinical case discussions, journal clubs and grand rounds on topics like stroke, epilepsy and neuroplasticity. She is trained in occipital nerve blocks, and her certifications include EEG and EMG interpretation, lumbar puncture and Botox for migraine. She enjoys volunteering and mentoring students and believes in clear communication and teamwork to support patient care. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active and connecting with her community. Dr. Sharf sees patients in both Bellingham and PeaceHealth’s Specialty Clinic in Sedro-Woolley. He earned his medical degree at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri. He completed a neurology residency and neuromuscular fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon. A Bellingham native, Dr. Sharf worked in the PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center Emergency Department as a patient access representative and scribe after graduating with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Victoria in British Columbia. Outside of work, he enjoys backpacking, skiing and mountain biking with his wife and son.
