With COVID-19 transmission rates in Skagit County significantly increasing, PeaceHealth is scaling back the number of visitors permitted inside United General Medical Center and our Sedro-Woolley and Burlington clinics.
Effective this Wednesday, May 4, only one visitor—not two—will be allowed inside our facilities. This includes support persons. Visitors are still required to wear a Level 3 (blue) surgical mask in the medical center and clinics; those are available at all entrances for free. Visitors may also choose to wear their own KN95 or N95 masks if they prefer.
PeaceHealth is using the CDC’s transmission map as the primary source for planning next steps in our communities. This ensures general alignment with other healthcare organizations. Currently, Skagit County’s transmission rate is in the “substantial” range, down from “moderate.” Whatcom County has shifted from “substantial” to “high.” PeaceHealth facilities there have also tightened visitor restrictions.
