William “Bill” Hartley, ARNP, joined the PeaceHealth Medical Group Specialties Clinic in Sedro-Woolley in January 2023 as an orthopedic nurse practitioner.
Prior to joining PeaceHealth, Hartley worked in urgent care in Mount Vernon for Skagit Regional. He also has extensive experience in emergency services, in both Northwest Washington and Alaska. He was a nurse practitioner in the United States Air Force, where he had the opportunity to practice all over the world.
Hartley earned a bachelor of science in nursing, as well as family nurse practitioner certification, at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. He also holds master’s degrees in public health from Loma Linda University, Loma Linda, Calif., and in trauma and emergency care from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston.
One of his favorite aspects of practicing medicine is getting to meet people and hear their stories.
“I treat patients the same as I’d like to be treated, or the members of my family,” Hartley said of his practice philosophy. “I put service before self.”
In his spare time, Hartley enjoys reading, traveling and camping.
