Luckily, Skagit County is full of all kinds of fun events that everyone – whether you want a family-friendly event, a date night or a fun time with friends – will enjoy. Here are is a list highlighting some of the amazing Skagit County summer events.
20th Annual Celebration of the Rose
June 24: 9 a.m. -5 p.m.
Christianson’s Nursery & Greenhouse
If you love roses, you will not want to miss this event! Learn about caring for roses with keynote speakers, check out the community rose display or enter the rose competition. There will be plants given away too! Be sure to stay for the ice cream social and the history talk by Ciscoe Morris and John Christianson. Mount Vernon PRIDE Walk
June 24: 11:20 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
515 east Fulton Street, Mount Vernon
Skagit Queer is holding their first ever PRIDE Walk. The event is all ages and there is free parking next to the house at 515 – don’t park in front of the house please. 27th Annual Skagit Valley Highland Games
July 8-9: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Edgewater Park
600 Behrens Millet Road, Mount Vernon
Over 10,000 people attend this incredible two-day event each July. Family members of all ages will love the bagpipe and drum competitions, Scottish athletics and Scottish Highland dancing. Enjoy bands and fiddling. There is tons of food – including whisky tasting, activities for the kids and more. Even the dog is welcome! Shipwreck Festival

Downtown Anacortes

Cascade Days

Concrete

Vibes in the Vines

Bertelsen Winery

This one-day music fest is great for the 21-and-over crowd! Listen to music from Trop Rock while tasting local wines from Bertelsen Winery and local beers. Swin Summerfest

A free, all-ages event in Skagit County, Swin Summerfest has live music, food and drinks! Head to Anacortes for a weekend of art early August. This festival has been showcasing local art and music for 62 years! Skagit County Fair

It’s just not summer without the Skagit County Fair! This event is of course family-friendly and full of fun! Rawkstock XIII 2023
August 12: gates open at 12 p.m.
LaConner
Happening on August 12, RawkStock XIII is a day full of music for the whole family. In LaConner, the event is a music fest for a cause, with proceeds going to the Fred Hutch Cancer Center and the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
