As Skagit County descends further into autumn, it’s a reminder that Thanksgiving is just around the corner. While many restaurants are closed for the holiday, some local eateries will still have their doors open, their ovens on and their stoves lit. Whatever your reason for seeking a Thanksgiving meal out this year, the following is a non-exhaustive (but fact-checked) Skagit County list of both turkey and non-turkey-based dining options. Check it out if you are looking for place to find thanksgiving dinner in Skagit County.
Shawn O’Donnell’s American Grill & Irish Pub
13724 La Conner-Whitney Road, Mount Vernon
11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Formerly known as the Farmhouse Restaurant, Shawn O’Donnell’s will be offering both a dine-in and take-out Thanksgiving menu.
The restaurant is offering pre-made, five-person Thanksgiving dinners for $119, with orders accepted until Friday, November 22 (six days before Thanksgiving). Orders can be picked up the day before Thanksgiving – Wednesday, November 27 – from noon to 5 p.m.
The pub will also be open for dine-in from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and reservations are highly encouraged. Dinner options include Thanksgiving meals with some Irish flair, including Irish colcannon potatoes and soda bread alongside traditional turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce. Prices are $27.99 for adults and $14.99 for children.
O’Donnell’s will also have several non-turkey dinners, including salmon, prime rib and bacon cheddar burgers.
The Oyster Bar at Chuckanut Drive
2578 Chuckanut Drive, Bow
11:30 a.m. to about 8 p.m.
An iconic local fine dining establishment located off Chuckanut Drive, the Oyster Bar will begin serving its full dinner menu earlier than normal, at 11:30 a.m., in addition to a Thanksgiving menu and several daily specials. Reservations are strongly encouraged, with dinner served until around 7:30 or 8 p.m. that evening.
Swinomish Casino & Lodge
12885 Casino Dr., Anacortes
11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Just off State Route 20 on Fidalgo Island, the Swinomish Casino offers several spots to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal.
Carver’s Café, offers a slightly-more casual dining experience that doesn’t require reservations. The café’s Turkey Day special includes a traditional spread plus a roll, salad and slice of pumpkin pie for $21.99, and will be available from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
This same $21.99 Thanksgiving meal is also available at the casino’s Swinomish Sports Bar & Grill from noon to 10 p.m.
Majestic Inn & Spa
419 Commercial Avenue, Anacortes
Noon to 7 p.m.
The Majestic’s 5th Street Bistro offers three options for getting your Thanksgiving calories: dine-in, takeout and buffet-style.
The Bistro will have two buffet times: noon and 4 p.m. The latter time has more availability than the former as this publishing, and reservations are required. The non-buffet Thanksgiving option will be served from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. There is limited seating for parties of 1 to 2 people, with more left for 3 to 6-person parties. Reservations are required, and waitlisting has already begun for certain times. Guests are encouraged to get on a waitlist to better ensure they’ll get a reservation for Turkey Day.
Takeout dinners for 2 are $60, with pick-up from 1 to 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving. The meals can also be delivered to your home for an additional fee of $20.
Katt’s Westside Stories
100 S. Barker Street, Mount Vernon
8:30 p.m. to 12 a.m.
While Katt’s Westside Stories is not doing full Thanksgiving meals for take-out or dine-in, they’ll again be doing both evening karaoke and Thanksgiving sweet treats for pick-up.
Pre-ordered Katt’s baked pies and pastries will be available for pick up until Thursday morning, while the bar will open for regular service at 8:30 p.m. to let patrons blow off some Turkey Day steam. In addition to its “Sing Song Bing Bong” karaoke, Katt’s will have a signature fall cocktail menu and limited food menu available.
