During the holiday season, Skagit County transforms into a winter wonderland, illuminated by countless twinkling lights and endless joy for the young and young-at-heart. From cozy neighborhood displays to festive events and parades, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Here are some of the 2024 Christmas light displays in Skagit County.
Christmas Lights in Anacortes
Noltsenmeyer Residence
3820 Biz Point Rd, Anacortes
Biz Point is at it again, lighting up the holidays with their acre of lights. Tune in to hear the sounds of the season on FM channel 95.5. Drive down D Avenue and Rosario Road on your way to enjoy more neighborhood lights.
D Avenue
Drive down D Avenue before heading west to the Skyline neighborhood, or continue your journey along Oakes, soaking in the good holiday cheer.
41st Street and Cherry
For a light display set to music, head to the Orchards neighborhood off of 41st Street and Cherry. Then swing by D Court at the top of 41st for a light display gone wild!
5501 Kingsway, Anacortes
For a real show stopper, continue your journey to the Skyline neighborhood. Begin at the top of Kingsway for the magnificent view of Burrow’s Bay and wind your way down to the bottom. Complete your trek at 5501 Kingsway, Anacortes for a lighted display that will bring a smile to your face and joy to your heart.
Winter Wonderland Walk at Washington Park
December 13-14, from 5-9 p.m.
The Winter Wonderland Walk at Washington Park is a magical holiday tradition. As darkness falls, the park transforms into a dazzling spectacle of light. Stroll through illuminated pathways, adorned with vibrant lights, luminaries, and enchanting decorations. The air is filled with the sounds of laughter, music, and the sizzle of s’mores, creating a festive atmosphere that captures the spirit of the season.
But don’t forget to bundle up and bring a flashlight or headlamp. This popular annual event is sponsored by the Anacortes Park and Recreation.
Winter Solstice Luminaria Walk
December 21, 2024 at Washington Park, Anacortes
Join the Salish Sea School for a special Winter Solstice Luminaria Walk through Washington Park. This event honors the Southern Resident Orcas with a peaceful, illuminated walk. Bring a luminaria to light your way and connect with others who care about our marine environment. The walk begins at 4:30 p.m. Contact the Salish Sea School for more information and to purchase your luminaria.
Anacortes Lighted Boat Parade
December 21, 2024, launching at 6 p.m.
The Anacortes Lighted Boat Parade is a stunning maritime tradition. As the sun sets, boats adorned with twinkling lights and festive decorations illuminate the waters off Cap Sante Marina. Gather with friends and family along the docks at Seafarer’s Park to witness this magical parade. Don’t forget to dress warmly and enjoy the festive atmosphere.
