Fall is upon us and there is nothing like heading to a local pumpkin patch to select the perfect pumpkin to usher in the new season. Your entire family will have fun visiting these farms, where you they can pick a pumpkin, get lost in a corn maze and enjoy harvest treats such as corn on the cob and squash. Gordon Skagit Farms goes all out for the fall season. This pumpkin patch in Skagit County boosts a corn maze, u-pick pumpkin patch, and a haunted barn. After the fun, have a snack paired with hot apple cider. They have been growing pumpkins since 1969, so you can bet they know how to grow some great ones. Schuh Farms

Schuh Farms is another pumpkin patch in Mount Vernon that has plenty of fun fall activities for the whole family. This 300-acre farm has a “Great Pumpkin Patch” full of beautiful fall bounty, with both u-pick and they-pick options. Free activities include yellow brick road and playground, music, costumed characters and the hen house.

On the homestead, they have activities such as barrel train rides, pumpkin balloon playgrounds and face painting, and corn maze, all for additional fees.

In the Great Pumpkin Patch, take a free hayride with farmer Steve and receive a free ear of corn; listen to the squash talk; meander through the Gravenstein apple path and enjoy the picnic area.

When you are hungry, grab a bite to eat from their stand, including roasted corn on the cob, chili, ice cream, espresso, hot apple cider and fresh pies.

Jones Creek Farms is a u-pick pumpkin patch in Sedro-Wolley. They have plenty of varieties of pumpkins and squash for you to choose, along with other seasonal fruits.
